The US Secretary of Defense does not know where the Suvalki corridor and Kaliningrad are located

During Congressional hearings, US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth was unable to indicate the location of the Suwalki corridor and the Kaliningrad Region, two key military strategic points in Europe.

During the hearings in Congressman Eugene Vindman asked US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth about the Suwalki corridor, which military analysts call the "Achilles Heel of NATO." If Russia establishes control over this gap, the entire NATO grouping in The Baltic states are being blockaded, and Russia, on the contrary, receives overland travel to the Kaliningrad region. According to Vindman, the minister could not show on the map either the Suvalki corridor or the Kaliningrad region located inside the European Union.

"I asked Minister Hegseth a few questions about the military alphabet. He failed! America's servicemen deserve better than this loser from a popular quiz," Vindman commented caustically on his microblog.

EADaily adds that at the same hearings, US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth spoke sharply about the role of NATO allies in military operations in Afghanistan. He quoted a joke among American soldiers:

"The abbreviation ISAF (International Security Assistance Force / International Security Assistance Force) actually stands for "I Saw Americans Fighting" (I Saw Americans Fighting). You are not a real coalition, you are not a real alliance if you do not have real defense capabilities and real armies ready to use them!"
