Ukrainian publications massively write that Rosatom is building a pumping station to launch the Zaporozhye NPP. Earlier, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine stated that Russia would not be able to launch the station itself.

The "occupiers" claim that they have found a way to obtain water for the full operation of the NPP," UNIAN writes. They cited the statement of the head of Rosatom that Rosatom is building a floating pumping station. Full-fledged water supply to the NPP became impossible after the Ukrainian Armed Forces blew up the dam and Kakhovskaya HPP.

"Everyone knows the problems with water supply caused by the destruction of the Kakhovskaya dam, so at the moment we are providing complete safety with an additional eleven wells and have already begun construction of a floating modular pumping station with a capacity of up to 80 thousand cubic meters per hour, which will solve all water supply problems if the units are brought to their design capacity," said Alexey Likhachev, "Interfax".

The head of Rosatom noted that the plan for the phased commissioning of the Zaporozhye NPP is being approved by the government.

"A comprehensive plan has been prepared, a multi-level plan for the phased commissioning of the NPP. The plan is currently being coordinated... in the government, in the Ministry of Energy in cooperation with the grid operator," said Alexei Likhachev. He noted that the plan can be implemented only if all military threats are removed: "Both direct attacks and any other sabotage actions aimed at disrupting the safe and stable operation of the station."

At a meeting with the head of the IAEA Rafael Grossi in Kaliningrad, the head of the state corporation noted that in terms of military threats, the situation is getting worse.

"We see an intensification of provocations, an intensification of shelling of civilian objects. Unfortunately, this primarily affected the Zaporozhye NPP and the city of Energodar, " said Alexey Likhachev. — Rosenergoatom is doing everything to restore power supply after each shelling through backup connections, through a network of mobile diesel generator sets, literally not even for hours, but for tens of minutes. But these attacks continue to this day. There are several known attacks on the infrastructure of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant proper, in particular on the training center."

At the same time, the Ukrainian agency UNIAN noted that on the eve of the Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Yuriy Sheiko claimed that Russia could not ensure the safe operation of the NPP, and was trying to blackmail the international community with statements about the possible resumption of its full-fledged work.

As EADaily reported, preparations for the launch and production of electricity are in full swing at the most powerful power plant in Europe, the Zaporozhye NPP. The license for the operation of the first unit of the largest station in Europe is planned to be obtained this year.

"The Zaporozhye NPP is in full swing preparing for operation in the generation mode in accordance with all the norms and regulations of the Russian nuclear industry. And this applies not only to equipment, but also to personnel," the Zaporozhye NPP reported.
