Now Russia cannot attack NATO, but within three to five years it will be able to do so, said Alliance Secretary General Mark Rutte, speaking at a conference in the UK on June 9.

NATO intends to prepare for a conflict with Russia during these three to five years. Answering questions about where such deadlines came from, Rutte said that "this is what the NATO military is talking about."

"For example, the other day the chief of the German General Staff said that Russia would be ready to attack NATO by 2029, that is, in four years," Rutte said.

According to him, the Russian economy "has already been transferred to a military regime by 100%," therefore, the NATO Secretary General believes, it is necessary to force the militarization of the European economy. He called on NATO countries to increase the number of their air defense systems by five times, increase the production of tanks, strike systems, drones and create large stocks of ammunition.

"Russia produces four times more ammunition than all NATO countries combined, although its economy is 25 times smaller than all NATO economies. Ammunition is the basis of any conflict. If you don't have a stockpile of ammunition, you don't need to start," Rutte said.

IN NATO and The EU has repeatedly stated Russia's alleged intention to "attack NATO", but the reasons for "Moscow's intentions" are not mentioned there.
